CHAD & EMILY KLOSTERMAN

CHAD KLOSTERMAN

Chad is a devout Catholic husband and father who learned to rely on God after surviving an ATV accident in July of 2000.  Prior to his accident, Chad served in the Army and the Army National Guard from 1993-2000, and he was stationed in Panama, Central America. After his accident, he met, fell in love with, and married Emily in 2003. Together, they welcomed their only child, a son Keegan, in 2005.  Today, Chad works as a delivery driver for a locally owned Napa Auto Parts store in his hometown of St. Marys, Ohio.  He volunteers as a CCD teacher at his local Catholic church and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, Chad enjoys restoring his classic car: a 1966 Chevy Impala. He also enjoys hobbies like working in his garage, watching sports like NASCAR, The Ohio State University Buckeyes football and hockey teams, and the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team. Chad enjoys spending time with family and friends and sharing his story of survival with anyone it might inspire.  His priorities are his faith, his family, and his friends.

EMILY KLOSTERMAN

Emily is a devout Catholic wife and mother who also learned to rely on God after surviving her own near-death experience. Prior to meeting Chad, Emily earned her undergraduate degree from Defiance College and started working as a high school English teacher in 2001 at a rural school just north of Saint Marys, Ohio.  She earned her master’s degree from BGSU in 2004 after marrying Chad in 2003. In 2005, Emily and Chad welcomed their only child, a son Keegan. Today, Emily is still teaching high school English, CCP English, and CCP public speaking at Spencerville Local Schools, the same school where she began her teaching career in 2001. Emily volunteers as a lector at her local Catholic church and spends quality time in prayer and devotion every morning to start each day with God. In her spare time, Emily enjoys exercising to stay healthy and fit, reading and discussing books with her colleagues in their after-school book club, listening to and singing along with music, and spending quality time with family and friends.  Her priorities are her faith and her family.
